Tonight’s talk will focus on life’s disappointments and how struggle encourages growth. While everyone is encouraged to read Two Old Women by Velma Wallis to facilitate discussion, it is not necessary.

We will discuss the archetype of aging and how one might stay engaged. Jung writes in Symbols of Transformation, "…whether or not we expose ourselves to the destructive forces of life, the poison of the stealthily creeping serpent of time consumes our bodies, nonetheless. Flight from life does not exempt us from the law of age and death.”  (par. 617)
